Anne E. Vickers

Mrs. Anne E. Vickers, age 86, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at McKenzie Healthcare & Rehab.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00PM Saturday, July 20, 2019 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Palmer Shelter Cemetery.  Dr. Timothy Atkins & Brother Alex Hilliard will officiate.

Anne was born September 9, 1932 to the late Harry & Ruth Easley in Huntingdon, Tennessee.  She was a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in education and was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi while there. Anne taught 5th grade in Indianapolis and later taught Special Education in the Clarksburg school system.  She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church.  In 1949 she was named Miss Huntingdon.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Vickers, Sr.; daughter, Laura (Jim) Trevor of St. Louis, Missouri; son, Brian Quigley of Bowling Green, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Ethan Trevor, Beth (Brandon) Jones, Jenny (Michael) Goodpaster, & Shannon Quigley; and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Astrid, & Austin.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 11:30AM until the time of service at 1:00PM.
