Dorothy Carter

Mrs. Dorothy Newman Carter, 88, of Trenton, Tennessee formerly of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Tuesday September 17, 2019 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM Sunday September 22, 2019 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Brother Scott Carter officiating.

Mrs. Carter was born April 3, 1931 to the late William Curtis Newman and Amanda Perritt Newman. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Carter who passed away October 2, 2001; sister Bobbie Pinson. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter Michelle Eaton (Tim)  of McKenzie, Tennessee; two sons Tim Carter (Karen) of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Kevin Carter (Randy Hayes) of Trenton, Tennessee; two brothers Marvin Newman (Mary) of McKenzie, Tennessee and Donald Newman (Betty Faye) of Jackson, Tennessee; one sister Joyce Smith of McKenzie, Tennessee; five grandchildren Michael Eaton, Kelley (Nathan) Wallace, Ben Carter, Matthew (Hailee) Eaton and Zachary Champion; four great-grandchildren Skye Eaton, Gauge Eaton, Emmy Eaton and Jack Carter Wallace.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Saturday from 3:00PM until 8:00PM and Sunday from 11:00AM until time of services.
