Jr. Hedge

Mr. Jr. Hedge, 77, of Leach Community, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 9, 2020 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Brother Rick Crossno is officiating.

Mr. Hedge was born October 11, 1942 in Henderson County to the late George Hedge and Helen Excel Hedge. He was a Mason, former owner of The Movie Store, East End BBQ, and H&H Tanning Salon. He was preceded in death by his brother Johnny Hedge and grandson Luke York.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Karen Hedge of Leach Community; daughter Kim (Patrick) Watson of Lexington, TN; two sisters: Shirley O’Bryan of Cedar Grove, TN, and Brenda Swafford of Henderson County; one brother, Gary (Jeanette) Hedge of Cedar Grove, TN; his granddaughter, Meagan (Dan) Hill; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Klinzing; sisters-in-law: Kathy (Doug) Juckett, Karol (Charlie) Matkovich, Kim Leitl, Kamala Goldman (Tim); and brothers-in-law: Ed Klinzing (Gilda), Erik Klinzing, Mark (Cindy) Klinzing, and George (Lisa) Klinzing.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 11:00 AM until the start of services.
