Laverne McMackin

Mrs. Mary Laverne McMackin, age 94, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Friday, July 26, 2019 at Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM Sunday, July 28, 2019 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Marlboro Cemetery.  Brother Dan Winkler will officiate.

Laverne was born March 7, 1925 to the late Wiley & Onie Stone in Carroll County, Tennessee.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Brodie McMackin, whom she married on July 4, 1953; and her brother, Eldon Stone.

She worked as a bookkeeper for McMackin TV for many years.  She was a longtime member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ. 

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Rickey) Haddock of Huntingdon, Tennessee; grandson, Kevin (Beth) Haddock of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and great-granddaughter, Lucy June Haddock of Olive Branch, Mississippi.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 10:00AM until time of service at 2:00PM at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home.
