Lucas Welch Obituary

Mr. Luke Welch, 91 of Paris, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at McKenzie Health and Rehabilitation.

Funeral services will be conducted 11AM on Thursday, January 18, 2018 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Welch was born on August 11, 1926 in Camden, Tennessee to the late Ernest and Mae Reeves Welch. He served in the US Navy, was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church, and was a former principal of Grove Junior High School. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Johne Welch.

He is survived by: 1 daughter, Patricia (Jimmy) Rich of Stanton, TN; 1 son, Dennis(Stephine) Welch of Paris, TN; 7 grandchildren, Rhnea Rich, Dolores (Mike) Jarvis, Cindy Rich, Jamie Rich, Andy (Alison) Welch, Patty (Jeremy) Stephenson, and Hannah Welch; 2 step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Connor and Kaden Fletcher.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home from 5-8PM and then on Thursday, from 9AM until time of services.
