Marjorie Ann (Everett) Smothers

Mrs. Marjorie Ann Smothers, age 82, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton, Tennessee.

Funeral Services will be conducted 10:00AM Thursday, May 9, 2019 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock, Tennessee.  Brother Henry Simpson & Brother Scott Carter will officiate.

Marjorie was born December 27, 1936 to the late Glen & Laverne Everett in McKenzie, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter F. Smothers, Sr. who passed November 6, 2011; brother, Maurice Everett; and sister, Kathy Barker.  She was a member of Huntingdon First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her four daughters, Pat (Chuck) Sichta of Lady Lake, Florida, Sandra Pytlik of Ciscero, Illinios, Joyce Carter of Huntingdon, Tennessee, & Ramona (Gary) Nelson of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one son, Walter (Tresa)  Smothers, Jr. of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one brother, Bobby (Barbara) Everett of Lansing, Michigan; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and Thursday from 8:00AM until 10:00AM prior to the service at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home.
