Polly Bartholomew

Mrs. Polly Gateley “Mama Polly” Bartholomew, 89, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Sunday August 5, 2018 at Life Care Center.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM Tuesday August 7, 2018 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Twin Oaks Community Cemetery. Brother Kerry Mallard and Brother Steve Wilkerson officiating.

Mrs. Bartholomew was born July 20, 1929 to the late Joe Gateley Sr. and Velma Kirk Gateley. She was a retired employee of Carroll County Juvenile Court and a member of Twin Oaks Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband G. L. Bartholomew; son Greg Bartholomew; brothers Joe Gateley Jr. and Donny Gateley; sister Betsy Stout; grandchildren Tony Perritt and Geoff Perritt.

She is survived by one son Robert (Sandra) Harrison of Houston, Texas; two daughters Diane (Larry) Newsome of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Paula Betterman of Southaven, Mississippi; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and on Tuesday from 11:00AM until 2:00PM.
