Mr. Spencer Orville Yeoman, 68 of Hollow Rock, Tennessee, formerly of Pearl City and Davis, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his home.
Celebration of Life services will be held: Tennessee-on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Club Rosser from 1-4PM; Illinois-at Silver Creek Museum in Freeport, Illinois on March 31, 2018 from 1-4PM with full military honors at 3PM.
Mr. Yeoman was born on August 9, 1949 in Freeport, Illinois to the late Edwin, Jr. and Jacqueline Graff Yeoman. He was a farmer for all of his life except while he served in the United States Army, 199 Light Infantry Brigade, Redcatchers, during the Vietnam War. He relocated to Hollow Rock, Tennessee on September 1, 2017 and loved living in Tennessee. He was a member of: Freeport Chapter Vietnow, a lifelong member; Durand American Legion; Stephenson County Antique Engine Club; and Northern IL Draft Horse & Mule Association. His hobbies were: horses, both riding and driving; fishing; dogs, and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Yeoman and Jody Wool.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 30 years, Ruth Crawford Yeoman of Hollow Rock, TN; Sister, Sara (Dennis) Janicke of Kent, IL; Brothers, Eric (Lisa) Yeoman of Pearl City, IL, John Yeoman, and Andrew Yeoman of Freeport, IL; Sisters-in-law, Chrystal (Gib)Feinstein of Davis, IL, and Sheila (Dan)McCarthy of Freeport, IL; Brother-in-law, Andy (Sandy) Crawford of Durand, IL; Aunts, Janice Peltz of Fargo, ND, and Betty Kerr of Washington, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
