Alva Jean Boyd

Mrs. Alva Jean Boyd, 94, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Sunday March 17, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM Friday March 22, 2024 at Clarksburg Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Sellers Hill Cemetery. Brother Chase Sanders officiating.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and on Friday at Clarksburg Church of Christ from 9:00AM until time of services at 11:00AM.

Mrs. Boyd was born August 3, 1929 to the late Clarence Springer and Lillian Simpson Springer. Preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Franklin Boyd; six sisters Hester Scott, Lola Rosser, Vera Collins, Mildred Bridges, Polly Simpson and Lorene Springer; three brothers Wayne Springer, Henry Springer and Harlon “Pete” Springer; She was a dedicated member of Clarksburg Church of Christ.

She is survived by one daughter Sandy (Anthony) Boyd of Huntingdon, Tennessee; two sons Hal (Janice) Boyd and Tim (Sheri) Boyd all of Huntingdon, Tennessee; Mrs. Boyd favorite title was “Granny” to seven grandchildren Caleb (Amanda) Boyd, Josh Boyd, Dusty (Kenley) Boyd, Madison (Lance) Endres, Kayla Boyd, Mason Boyd and Trent Boyd and five great-grandchildren, who she was immensely proud of, Brian Warson, Chloe Boyd, Lucas Boyd, Isaac Boyd and Kip Endres.
