Anthony Donte Phillips, 29, gained his angel wings on August 21, 2021.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home from 10:00AM until the start of services at 12:00PM.

Born May 15, 1992, he grew up and lived most of his life in Champaign, IL. He moved to Huntingdon, TN, in 2013 along with his mother, both grandparents whom he called Meme and Papa, his youngest cousin Makiya, and 2 out of 3 brothers as well. Anthony was the oldest of 4 brothers by his mom. In 2014, the mother of 4 out of 6 of his beautiful children joined him in the state of TN. Anthony was diagnosed with Lupus when he was a child, though he was brittle at the bones it never stopped him from being one courageous and stand-up child and growing young man. Determined to be an independent working young man at 16 years old, he took his first Job at The U of I, helping clean dorms, and bought his first car with a couple of saved up checks. Becoming a young father  was his entire world! 6 kids sounds like a lot to us, but it was not enough for him. Being a dad was the best part of life for him, since his first child all he ever wanted was to be an active father. He enjoyed taking them on car rides, parks, going out for ice cream or just simply sitting on the front porch while the kids played.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dominique Donte Phillips, KeShaun Donte Webb Phillips and Kendall Adams; uncle Marty Phillips; grandmother, Rolie Mae Phillips; great-grandmothers, Effie Carlone Rivers and Aurista Phillips; great-grandfathers, Chalie Louis Phillips and Larmon Rivers.

Anthony leaves to mourn his loss his mother, Kimberly Phillips; father Anthony Barber; brother, Davion Donte Phillips; two sisters, Kendra Huffman and LaDonna Gary; grandmother, Lou Ella Barber; aunt, Gabrielle Phillips; three uncles: Patrick Phillips, Mike Barber, and Larry Barber; his children, Jeremiah, Chloe, Nylah, Mia, Audriana and Abriel; great niece, Makiya Phillips; great nephew, Marty Phillips; and his children’s mothers, Shawna Durst and Viri Flynn. He also loved and enjoyed his girlfriend, Anna Pearson.
