Atlas Truman Langford Jr.

Mr. Atlas Truman Langford Jr., 96, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday November 19, 2025 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, November 21, 2025 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens. Brother Jacob Harris officiating.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.

Mr. Langford Jr. was born November 7, 1929 to the late Atlas Truman Langford Sr. and Alice Naomi Rhodes. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by step-father, Clois Montgomery Rhodes; one sister, Beverly Lucille (Dickie) Morford; two nephews, Larry Don Morford and Rocky Schexnayder and one brother-in-law, Chuck Schexnayder. Atlas was a member of Huntingdon First Baptist Church for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Judy Fay Langford of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one half-sister, Patsy Jean Schexnayder of Panama City, Florida; two nieces, Rachel Teresa (Charlie) Ragan of Memphis, Tennessee and Angela (Tim) Jackson of Jackson, Tennessee; three nephews, Rick (Nannette) Morford of Erin, Tennessee, Randy Morford of Decaturville, Tennessee and Monte Morford of Jackson, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Duane (Patti) Besherse of Hale Center, Texas and sister-in-law Hazel (Tim) Pierce of Nashville, Tennessee.
