Mrs. Bettye Sue McCollum, 90, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2026 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Brother Sonny Robinson officiating.
The family will receive friends at Dilday–Carter Funeral Home Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 9:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM
Bettye was born February 23, 1935 to the late Walter Gray Carey and Bessie Taylor. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack McCollum and a granddaughter, Jackie Williams.
She owned and operated Bettye’s Shoppe in Huntingdon, Tennessee for a number of years. Mrs. Bettye was also the last surviving Charter Member of Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, June (Brad) Heck of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Tracy (Trent) Williams of Huntingdon, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Alan (Kelly) Eubanks, Daniel Eubanks, Lane (Vicki) Williams, Lukus (Makenzi) Heck, Owen (Kenda) Heck and Jason Fairweather; twelve great-grandchildren, Gray Eubanks, Hayes Eubanks, Mac Eubanks, Zean (Gracie) Williams, Taylor (Micah) McCarty, Ava Williams, Zaden Heck, Kai Heck, Aesa Heck, Memphis Heck, Bryndle Donley and Kade Donley; two great-great-grandchildren, Emery Flowers and Tennie Kate McCarty.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Alan Eubanks, Lane Williams, Daniel Eubanks, Zean Williams, Hayes Eubanks, Taylor McCarty and Gray Eubanks.
