Carla Bockover Obituary

Carla (Ulrich) Bockover was born on January 19th, 1953, in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Carl and Lorraine (Onyx) Ulrich. We aren’t 100% sure when she married her late husband, Fred Bockover, since neither one could agree on an anniversary date. We believe it was July 9, 1994.

Carla was world-renowned for her hospitality, empathy, lack of patience, never holding back her opinion, and a beautiful flair of telling it like it is. She was loved by many and would give anything to see you smile.

Carla was very active in the Disabled American Veterans and American Legion most of her life. She also donated time and resources to the Shriners Hospital. She spent her life working in hospitality, from owning her own business to serving others in nursing homes.  Most recently, she worked as a Pharmacy Tech locally.

Carla loved BINGO, casinos (especially slot machines), Black Berry Brandy, traveling, attending Eagle Brook Church services 800 miles through her TV, and most of all anyone she met. You never knew who she was actually related to because she treated everyone like family.

Carla is survived by her daughters Dora Warner of Paris, TN, Charity Baker of Cordova, TN, and son Joseph Bockover of Blaine, TN; grandchildren Nicholas & Brandon, Christian, McKenzie, Bailey, and Braylen; great Grandchildren Nash, Mimzie, Russell, andLiam; sister Lorraine Radke of Webster, WI and Brothers Jim (Sharon) Ulrich and Joe (Kay) Ulrich of South Bend, IN.

Carla is preceded in death by her husband Fred, son Charles Baker, daughter Lori Baker, brother Jack Ulrich, sister Carol Gondocs, and favorite brother-in-lawGeorge Radke.

Memorial contributions can be made in Carla’s name to the Darkhorse Lodge 1951 Swor Rd, Springville, TN 38256. A celebration of life will be announced at a future date.
