Dan Smothers

Mr. Dan  Smothers, 71, of Huntingdon passed away Wednesday March 5, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM on Saturday March 8, 2025 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at New Spring Hill Cemetery. Brother Lathan McLean officiating.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Saturday March 8, 2025 from 11:00AM until time of services at 2:00PM.

Mr. Smothers was born May 28, 1953 to the late Dilver Smothers and Francis Newbill Smothers. He was a member of New Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by two brothers Lynn Dale Smothers and Steve Smothers.

He is survived by wife, Diane Smothers;one daughter Alicia (Tim) Runions of Hollow Rock, Tennessee; one son Terry Hollingsworth of Paris, Tennessee; three sisters, Hope (Dale) Vinson of McLemoresville,  Kathy (George) Norman of Huntingdon, and Kay (Ronnie) Story of McKenzie; four grandchildren and  four great-grandchildren; cousin Kenny Smothers.

Honoring him as pallbearers will be Randy Miller, Cameron Miller, Terry Hollingsworth, Kelly Story, Ronnie Story and Mark Simpson.
