David Hays Obituary

Mr. David Wayne Hays, 64, of Cedar Grove, TN passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Brother Steve Osborne will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM, and on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 9:00AM until the start of services at 11:00AM.

Mr. Hays was born on August 1, 1957 in Carroll County, TN to the late Curtis Hays and Patricia Williamson Hays. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry Hays, Jimmy Hays, and Billy Hays.

He is survived by one daughter, Mary Hays of Cedar Grove, TN; one son, Matthew (Lauren) Hays of Lavinia, TN; one step-son, Cameron Fortner of Cedar Grove, TN; one brother, Ricky Hays of Trezevant, TN; and five grandchildren: Justice Fortner, Olivia Hays, Draven Maness, Owen Hays, and Sebastian Jones.
