Dorothy Jean Adams, 93,  of Cedar Grove, TN passed away on May 24, 2024 after a long illness.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00AM Wednesday May 29, 2024 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Brother Alan Baumgardner officiating.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00PM until 7:00PM and on Wednesday from 8:00AM until time of services at 10:00AM.

She was born on September 7, 1930in Henderson, TN to the late James F. Goff and Eliza Ann (Overman) Goff.

After retiring from the K-Mart Corporation in Illinois, Dorothyand her husband of 57 years Jesse Vernon (JV) Adams moved to Cedar Grove in 1994. She loved making quilts for friends and family, gardening, and canning jelly.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband JV Adams, sons Andy Andrews and James M. Andrews, stepsons Ronald E. Adams and Daniel R. Adams, and grandson Jimmy Andrews. She is survived by her son Michael R. Andrews, daughter Teresa V. Adams, 18 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
