Mrs. Dorothy May Rushing, 81, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026 at her home surrounded by family and loved ones.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday July 8, 2026 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens. Brother James Keen officiating.
The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 10:00 AM until time of services at 2:00 PM.
Dorothy was born March 30, 1945 to the late Charles Wyatt and Callie Ellison Wyatt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, Jeremy Hill; three brothers, Freeman Wyatt, Maurice Wyatt and Jack Wyatt; two sisters, Inez Haynes and Louise Broach.
She leaves behind her husband, Joe Howard Rushing; two sons, Martin Joe Rushing of Huntingdon, Tennessee and John Randall (Genetta) Rushing of Huntingdon, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Logan, Shannon, Tiffany and Lindsey; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon, Natalie, Brady, Silas, Joelee, Leo and Arya.
