Dwight David Sanders

Mr. Dwight David Sanders, 80, of Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 at his residence.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, August  13, 2025 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Long Rock Cemetery in Huntingdon. Brother Chris King officiating.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 1:45 PM.

Mr. Sanders was born March 17, 1945 to the late John and Esther Comer Sanders. He is also preceded in death by siblings, Reba Hall, John Sanders Jr., Paul Sanders, Ravanell Britt, Samuel Sanders,  Naomi Dillahunty, Jean Barnhart and Charles Kenneth Sanders. Retired owner of Sanders Construction and worshiped at Huntingdon Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Rush Sanders of Huntingdon; one daughter, Angie Sanders of Huntingdon;  two sons, Mike (Sandra) Sanders of Bells and Kendall (Jacqueline) Sanders of Huntingdon; five grandchildren, Leah Sanders, Kelsey Sanders, Kelli (Riley) Smith, Josie Sanders and Rush Sanders; two great-grandchildren, Laiken and Libby.

Honoring him as pallbearers will be Paul Stokes, Shane Bartholomew, Ricky Umstead, Harold Webb, Danny Crossett and Mark Dillahunty.
