Earlene Newsome

Mrs. Earlene Newsome, 78,  of Mixie, Tennessee passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026 at her residence.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 4, 2026 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Twin Oaks Cemetery in Huntingdon, Tennessee. Chad Pinson officiating.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM.

Earlene was born March 27, 1947 to the late Homer Agbert Oxford and Earl Viola Love Oxford. She was a member of Huntingdon Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two daughters, Marla Dell Newsome and Jeana Gail Newsome; one sister, Carolyn Littleton; one brother, Dickie Oxford.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Newsome of Mixie, Tennessee; one daughter, Jennifer (Tony) Mineo; two granddaughters, Isabella Mineo and Claudia Mineo.

Honoring her as pallbearers will be Mike Newsome, Eric Newsome, Todd Simpson, Tony Mineo, Sven Oelhafen and Stacey Cole.
