Mrs. Evelyn Faye Miller, 87, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Thursday August 7, 2025.
She was born July 30, 1938 to Kim Dill and Estress Smith Dill in the Leach community in Carroll County, Tennessee. She married James Miller September 17, 1955, and together they built a life centered around family and hard work.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband, her sons, Randall Miller and Michael “Pee Wee” Miller, and her siblings: Vonell Smothers, Melba Boyd, Ray Dill and Junior Dill.
She is survived by her son, Ricky Miller, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, her grandchildren, Greg Miller of St. Louis, Missouri, Jessie Belew (Danny) of Gleason, Tennessee, Jamie Miller (Rachal) of Lebanon, Tennessee, and Mallory Pendergrass (Jeff) of Huntingdon, Tennessee; her great-grandchildren, Tyler Vaughn of Martin, Tennessee, Rosalie Miller of Lebanon, Tennessee, Lane Belew of Gleason, Tennessee and Cora Miller of Lebanon, Tennessee.
Evelyn loved animals deeply and shared her home with many cherished pets over the years, most recently her dog, Penny, who was her faithful companion. She was a devoted member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ, and she took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, August 12, 2025 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home in Huntingdon, Tennessee with burial to follow at McLemoresville Cemetery in McLemoresville, Tennessee. Brother Doug Sellers officiating.
The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 5-8 PM and from 9 AM until the time of funeral service on Tuesday, August 12.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Alton Crossno, Tony Dill, Colton Dill, Wendell Smothers, Jeff Pendergrass and Greg Miller.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society, Huntingdon Church of Christ or charitable organization of your choice.
