Frances (Douglas) Reed

Mrs. Frances Reed, 91, of Westport, Tennessee passed away Friday, February 27, 2026 at her residence.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00PM Tuesday, March 3, 2026  in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Barr Springs Cemetery. Brother Robert Simmons officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 2, 2026 at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 11:00AM until time of service at 1:00PM.

Frances was born April 28, 1934 in Rock Springs, Tennessee to the late Joseph Simpson Douglas and Mae Bell Douglas. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Junior Reed; her daughter Andrea Gail Edwards; two sisters, Daltha Miller and Myrtle Douglas; two brothers Joe Herman Douglas and Charles Douglas.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Ann Stewart of McKenzie, Tennessee; one son, Eugene (Mary Ann) Boyd of Westport, Tennesee; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
