Gordon Ashby

Mr. Gordon Ashby, 72, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Sunday April 28, 2024.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00PM Sunday May 5, 2024 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will be at Veterans Cemetery at Parker’s Crossroads.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Saturday 5:00PM until 8:00PM and on Sunday from 12:00PM until 1:00PM.

Mr. Ashby was born January 3, 1952 to the late Charles Stewart Ashby and Ester Carnell Brock Ashby. He served 21 years in the United States Air Force and retired in 1992. He loved riding his motorcycle, helping his fellow veterans, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by three children Erica (Steven) Boone of Clarksville, Tennessee, Charlene “Charley” Swierk of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Michelle A. Gallipoli McConnell of San Diego, California; grandchildren Eric King, Emily Kennedy, Lily Ashby, Jasmine Swierk, Donato Gallipoli and Peyton Gallipoli; great-granddaughters Ivy Jade and Harlee Joe King.
