Herman Ray Jones

Mr. Herman Jones, age 95, of Cedar Grove, Tennessee passed away February 22, 2019 in his home, surrounded by loved ones.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00PM Monday, February 25, 2019 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery in Cedar Grove, Tennessee.  Brother Kenneth Price and Brother Joey Weatherford officiating.

Mr. Jones was born July 23, 1923 to the late Roy & Lorena Jones in Jefferson, Texas.  He was a member of Poplar Corner Pentecostal Church.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Jones; and brothers, Howard Jones of Jefferson, Texas, Floyd Jones of Jefferson, Texas, Barney Jones of Jefferson, Texas, & Jesse Jones of Jefferson, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Berthal Jones of Cedar Grove, Tennessee; sons, Donald Jones of Cedar Grove, Tennessee & Warren (Lori) Jones of Cedar Grove, Tennessee; daughter, Janice Jones Ferrell of Cedar Grove, Tennessee; sisters, Mildred Thompson of Marshall, Texas, Hulene Robertson of Palestine, Texas, Verna Mae (Larry) Bowman of Palestine, Texas, & Mary (Ronnie) Jones of Hughes Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Janet (Jim) Wickers of Cedar Grove, Tennessee, Joseph Jones of Lavinia, Tennessee, Richard (Alex) Ferrell of Big Sandy, Tennessee, & David (Chelsey) Ferrell of Milan, Tennessee; and great-grandchildren, Melissa Wickers, Danielle Wickers, Rebecca Wickers, Jacob Reynolds, Mason Loines, & Raelynn Maples.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home from 3:00PM until 8:00PM and on Monday from 10:00AM until time of services at 2:00PM.

Pallbearers include Richard Ferrell, David Ferrell, Steve Towater, James Wickers,  Carl Bartholomew & Colten Bartholomew.  Honorary Pallbearers include Jacob Reynolds, Mason Loines,  Warren Jones & Caden Bartholomew.
