Janice Arlene Wilkes Obituary

Mrs. Janice Arlene Wilkes, 73, of Huntingdon, TN passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at her home.

Graveside services will be held 2:30PM on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Palmer Shelter Cemetery. Brother Jerry Morris will be officiating the service.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 11:00AM until 2:00PM at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wilkes was born on September 18, 1947 in Huntingdon, TN to the late David Wooters and Verda Mann Wooters. She worked in the office at Watson Lumber Company and was a member of Huntingdon Church of Christ. She loved quilting, crocheting, working puzzles and reading. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Wooters.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Futrell Wilkes of Huntingdon, TN; two sons, Jeff (Heatharlyne) Wilkes of Germantown Hills, IL and Jason (Cindy) Wilkes of Collierville, TN; and five grandchildren: Charlotte Wilkes, Elijah Wilkes, Jeremy Wilkes, Brady Wilkes, and Caleb Wilkes.
