Jewell Newman

Mrs. Jewell Newman, 93, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Monday April 29, 2024 at Cades Center Assisted Living.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00PM Wednesday May 1, 2024 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Carter’s Chapel Cemetery. Brother Phil Williams officiating.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and on Wednesday from 11:00AM until time of services at 1:00PM.

Mrs. Newman was born March 2, 1931 to the late Seth Thomas and Millie Hayes Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband Ben Clayton Newman and a member of Carter’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one daughter Tammy (Rob) Blankenship of Huntingdon, Tennessee; three sons Tony (Kay) Newman of Jackson, Tennessee, Keith (Janice) Newman of McLemoresville, Tennessee and Jeremy (Bonnie) Newman of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one sister Ruby (Mel) Alexander of Milan, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren Tracy (Mike) Foster, Austin (Kristine) Newman, Ashley Newman, Sommer Newman Hovis, Ben (Haley) Newman, Amanda (Chris) Sneed, Holly (Joey) Waugh, Colton Blankenship, Randy Carey, Terry Carey and Jenny (Scott) Diffie; twenty one great-grandchildren.
