Joe Wilkes Obituary
Mr. Joe Wilkes, 81, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held privately.
Joe was born November 12, 1944 to the late Bennie Wilkes and Lillie Wilkes. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Joe Wilkes.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Wilkes; one son, Kevin (Heather) Wilkes of Clarksburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Kim (Michael) Bales of Huntingdon, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jacob Wilkes, Cooper Wilkes, Brayden Bales and Lainey Bales.
Joe worked at the Bank of McLemoresville, Espey Oil Company, Jackson Sun and Milan Arsenal. He was the former owner of W&W convenient store. He served his country in the National Guard. Joe was also an avid golfer and fisherman. His family remembers him as a very devoted husband, father and grandfather.
