Joe R Glisson

Mr. Joe R. Glisson, 81, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Saturday August 27, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM Wednesday August 31, 2022 at Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Davis Chapel Cemetery. Brother James Keen officiating.

Mr. Glisson was born September 3, 1940 to the late Neuland Glisson and Lorene Douglas Glisson. He was a retired Machinist for TVA, member of Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church; preceded in death by one brother David Glisson.

He is survived by his wife Sara Meggs Glisson; one daughter  Denise (Steve) Shelton of Springville, Tennessee; one son Barry Joe Glisson of Huntingdon, Tennessee; two sisters Rita (Bill) Bruce of Kingsland, Georgia and Judy Pearson of Dresden, Tennessee; two grandchildren Emily (Rodd) Bawcum and Eric Shelton.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and on Wednesday at Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church from 10:00AM until time of services at 11:00AM.
