John Turnham Obituary

Mr. John Edwin Turnham, 89, passed away peacefully Saturday December 12, 2020 due to complications from COVID-19.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM Saturday December 19, 2020 at Brush Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Nashville. Interment will follow in Barren Springs Cemetery in Huntingdon.

John was born November 7, 1931 in Wayzata, Minnesota, the oldest of 10 children. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Raymond, Romona, Leon, Catherine, Alan and Laura.

While serving in the Navy, he met his wife, Doris LaVergne Evans, who died soon after her husband. John spent his life devoted to her and their church.

John is survived by his children Pamela Todd (Lanny), Timothy Turnham (Phyllis) and Gregory Turnham (Feye), six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
