Josie Bartholomew

Mrs. Josie “Top” Bartholomew, 92, of Clarksburg, TN passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Henderson County Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 21, 2021 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at New Liberty Cemetery. Brother Phillip Halter and Brother Tim Maness are officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM, and Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 9:00AM until start of services at 2:00PM at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bartholomew was born on October 5, 1928 in Carroll County, TN to the late Billy Wall and Maggie Kirby Wall. She was a lifelong member of New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Faye Bartholomew, her daughter, Dianna Bartholomew, and a sister, Kathleen “Tip” Taylor.

She is survived by daughter, Sharon (Lant) Wood of Wildersville, TN; two sons, Roger “Doc” (Tammy) Bartholomew and Bruce Bartholomew both of Clarksburg, TN; 3 grandchildren: Tonya (Justin) Whitaker, Bethanie (Curtis) Burton, and Drew (Hannah) Wood; and 3 great-grandchildren: Beau Whitaker, Finley Whitaker, and Waylon Wood.
