The family will receive friends Friday, January 23, 2026 at Dilday-Carter Funeral home from 11:00AM until time of service at 2:00PM.
Karen was born on February 4, 1952, in Michigan. In 1979, she made Kentucky her home, where she built a life rooted in hard work, generosity, and deep connections. A dedicated employee and accomplished businesswoman, Karen was recognized in 2004 as a Business Woman of Achievement for the City of Paducah—an honor that reflected both her professional excellence and her commitment to her community.
Karen was preceded in death by her beloved baby girl, Stacie Ann; her mother, Mildred Louise (McCormick) Mozena; her father, John Bernard Chandler; her brother, Michael Chandler; her nephew, Jeffrey Chandler; and other cherished family members and friends who welcomed her home.
Karen's laugh was contagious, and her smile could warm an entire room. She had a generous heart and loved the simple things in life, finding true joy in the little moments. She cherished motorcycle rides with her devoted husband, sharing good meals, loving animals, and spending time with the family and friends who meant everything to her.
In 2004, Karen was diagnosed with breast cancer. For more than two decades, she faced her illness with unmatched strength, resilience, and dignity—never allowing it to define her spirit or her love for life.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, George Kauff; her sister, Kim Rezac; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who will forever carry her love, laughter, and legacy in their hearts.
Karen will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and the quiet, beautiful way she found joy in everyday life. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
