Mrs. Lavida Mae James, 67, of McKenzie, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.

Lavida was born June 18, 1958 in Linden, Texas to the late Frank Hunt and Annie Mae Hunt. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Hunt and one sister, Cathy Lee.
She is survived by two sons, Arturo Martinez Jr. and Phillip Martinez; one daughter, Carrie Perez; one brother Jimmy (Bo) Hunt; two sisters, Debra Glisson and Lisa Wortham; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is loved by so many and will forever be missed. " Sisters are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly"
