Linda Louella Phillips

It is with deep sadness that the family of Linda L. Phillips, age 69, announces her passing on Saturday June 13, 2026 in Gleason, Tennessee.

As requested by Linda, no funeral or memorial services will be held.

Born on August 19, 1956 in Bells, Tennessee to the late Elton and Georgia Phillips. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in  death by one sister, Deborah Patterson; six brothers, Larry Phillips,  Melvin Phillips, Harold Phillips,  Ronald Phillips, William Phillips,  and James “Jimmy” Phillips.

She is survived by her son, Joseph W. (Kimberly) Tate Sr. of McKenzie, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Athena (Austin) Tate Stutts of Paris, Tennessee and Joseph W. (Madison) Tate Jr. of McKenzie, Tennessee; three great-granddaughters, Cayslee Stutts, Iris Stutts and Rhea Stutts; one twin-sister, Brenda French of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Andrew Phillips of Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Linda lived her life her way. She loved meeting new people, animals, yard sales and believed in being your true self.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carroll County Humane Society in her name.  Carroll County Humane Society P.O. Box 384 McKenzie, TN 38201.
