Marilyn Pruett Obituary

Mrs. Marilyn Ann Pruett, 88, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at her home.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, March 6, 2026 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral home on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.

Marilyn was born November 27, 1937 to the late Adrian Odell Little and Ethel Kee Little Holland. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Thomas Pruett; one sister, Adren Odene Douglas; one son-in-law, Webster Maddox. She was a proud and long-time member of Huntingdon Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Walter) Butler of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Julia Maddox of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one son, Michael (Stephanie) Pruett of Huntingdon, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Rachel (Lyle)Maddox Holmes, Murray (Erin) Butler, Andrew (Meagen) Maddox, Joseph (Megan) Butler, Thomas (Morgan) Butler, Hailey (Zack) Pruett Terry, Collin (Cara) Pruett and Kenneth (Claire) Pruett; eighteen great-grandchildren.

A special thanks to her caregivers, Auga Floyd, Martha Blackwell, Celina Flores, Kiesha Hale and to the nursing staff of Gentiva Hospice.

Honoring her as pallbearers will be Collin Pruett, Kenneth Pruett, Zack Terry, Andrew Maddox, Lyle Holmes, Murray Butler, Joseph Butler and Thomas Butler.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, located 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959 and to Jacob Warbritton Donations at Carroll Bank and Trust.
