Melvin Eugene Harris

Memorial services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday November 14, 2020 at the Colonial Tea Room Huntingdon, Tennessee.

Melvin Eugene Harris, was the 2^nd child, born to Eardis, Jr. and Marcella Harris. He was raised and went to school in Huntingdon. He lived most of his adult life in Carroll County between Huntingdon and McKenzie, Tennessee.

Melvin completed his journey here on Earth, at Huntingdon Health & Rehabilitation Center, after an extended battle with multiple illnesses. He was preceded in death by his father and sisters, Wilma and Anita.

Melvin’s survivors are: mother, Marcella Harris; daughter, Tuwanna Shane; son, Titus (Cindy) Gordon; brothers, Eardis (Spud) Harris III and Carl Ray Harris; grandchildren: Ajahia Harris, Ashley Harris, Diamond Jumper, Robert Jumper, Kaycia Gordon, Aydin Gordon, and Amarion Gordon.

Loyal and devoted caretaker, niece, nephew and uncle, Angel (Bruce) Murray; Kermit Cozart.

Aunt, Wanda (Yvette) Ford; Uncle, Reginald (Jeruna) Cozart; great-uncle William (Darnell) Pearson.

Melvin will be missed by a host of other family and friends, along with the exceptional staff at Huntingdon Health & Rehab, and Baptist Memorial Home Care and Hospice.
