Mildred Butler Byars

Mrs. Mildred Butler Byars, 85, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Tuesday March 19, 2024 at Lakeside Assisted Living Community.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM Friday March 22, 2024 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Brother Drake Whitworth officiating.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and on Friday from 12:00PM until 2:00PM.

Mrs. Byars was born November 16, 1938 to the late Lester Webb and Minnie Williams Webb. She was preceded in death by her first husband James Edward Butler Jr., second husband Hershel Byars and a member of Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters Gail (Steve) Edwards of Huntingdon, Tennessee, Shelia (Mitchell) Whitworth of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Kristie (Kimberly) Butler of Medina, Tennessee; one son Ricky (Ann)Butler of Huntingdon, Tennessee; two sisters Brenda (Steve) Dickson of Bruceton, Tennessee and Janet Prince of Murfressboro, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren Kendra La, Kala (Trevor) Sanders, Kodie (Kara) Edwards, Dustin (Whittney) Whitworth, Drake (Jessica) Whitworth, Hunter Foster, Tanier Foster, Kirk (Crystal) Butler, Kevin (Crystal) Butler and Karl Butler; 19 great-grandchildren.
