Nelda Deakins

Ms. Nelda Loree Deakins, 84, of Medina, TN passed away Monday, October 14, 2024. 

Ms. Deakins worked with the US Army Corps of Engineers in Memphis, the Milan Army Ammunition Plant and with the United States Postal Service as Postmaster both at McLemoresville, TN and later in Bells, TN.

Funeral service will be Friday, October 18, 2024 at 1:00PM in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Christian Chapel Cemetery.

Her immediate family will receive friends and relatives at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM.

Ms Deakins was born November 9, 1939 in Huntingdon, TN to the late Garvie and Lorene Bush McAlexander.  

She is survived by her son Andy Deakins and his wife, Sonya of Medina; grandson Riley Deakins of Jackson; granddaughter Erin Fain and her husband Jake of Jackson.
