Robert (Bert) Franklin Dilday III

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bert) Dilday III, age 69, on Wednesday, June 11th in Phoenix, Arizona. A native son of Huntingdon, Tn., the Dilday family owned and operated Dilday Funeral Home for many years. Bert's father, Bobby Dilday, owned the men's store, Dildays Of Huntington until his death in 1973. Bert was preceded in death by his father, Bobby, his mother, Bette Warmack Dilday, and sister, Debbie Dilday Measely. Bert leaves behind two sons, Jefferson Mills, 42, of Eva, Tn., Rob Dilday, 39, one daughter, Aja Dilday Neal, 35, and their mother, Sharon Price, all of Phoenix, Arizona. He also leaves behind four young grandchildren, Lyric, Remi, Rhea, and Riley. Bert and Sharon moved to Phoenix in March of this year, residing with their daughter, Aja and her husband, Evan Robison. Those of us left behind are grateful for the short amount of time we had with Bert in Phoenix and are honored that we had this man as a father and a husband in our lifetime. We will carry his spirit forward with us for the remainder of our time here on Earth.
