Obituary
Mr. Robert Franklin Bennett, 88, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Sunday May 7, 2023 at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM Tuesday May 9, 2023 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Palmer Shelter Cemetery. Brother Dennis Abernathy officiating.
Mr. Bennett was born March 1, 1935 to the late Vernon Davis Bennett and Ava Jewel Belew Bennett. He was a retired Foreman at Henry I. Siegel and a member of Palmer Shelter Methodist Church. Preceded in death by one sister Shirley Shands; one brother Jerry Bennett.
He is survived by his wife Jo Anne Bennett; three daughters Kathy (Roger) Hanks of Atwood, Tennessee, Jan (Alan) Kinningham of Jackson, Tennessee and Judy (Steve) Parish of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one son Robert “Bob” D Bennett of Huntingdon, Tennessee; eight grandchildren Kisha (P.J.) Pittman, Elizabeth Abernathy, Jessica (Justin) Brazell, Drew (Kirby) Kinningham, Bennett (Danielle) Kinningham, Adam (Hillary) Parish, Ryan Parish and Brandon (Melissa) Bennett; 14 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Honoring him as pallbearers will be Drew Kinningham, Brandon Bennett, Adam Parish, Ryan Parish, Blake Riley, Bennett Kinningham, Austin Riley, Trent Riley, Christopher Abernathy, Kisha Pittman, Elizabeth Abernathy and Jessica Brazzell.
The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12:30PM until time of services at 2:00PM
