Sara Allene Edwards Obituary

Mrs. Sara Allene Edwards, 74, of McKenzie, Tennessee passed away Friday November 4, 2022 at St Thomas West.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM Tuesday November 8, 2022 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Pastor Emily Walker officiating.

Mrs. Edwards was born August 9, 1948 to the late Eugene Garton and Helen Seaborn Garton. She was a retired Administrator for Safe Harbor Retirement Lodge; preceded in death by her husband who passed away February 1, 2022; sister Linda Waychoff; brother Doug Garton.

She is survived by three daughters Lisa Dawn Millard of Newnan, Georgia, Cyndi (Stan) Riggs of McKenzie, Tennessee and April Michelle (Christopher) Dawson of Killen, Alabama; three sons Steve (Donna) Edwards of Puryear, Tennessee, Barry (Bennie) Thompson of Dickson, Tennessee and Garry (Gina) Thompson of Waverly, Tennessee; three sisters Jennifer (Joe) Garton of Camden Tennessee, Michelle (Troy) Meadows of Gallatin, Tennessee and Gayle (Tommy) Shelton of Charlotte, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00AM until time of services at 2:00PM.
