Stephen Edward Carter

Mr. Stephen Edward Carter, 67, of Clarksburg, Tennessee passed away Thursday September 12, 2024 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM Sunday September 15, 2024 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sellers Hill Cemetery. Todd Buttrey officiating.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Sunday from 11:00AM until 2:00PM.

Mr. Carter was born February 12, 1957. He was a Air Force veteran and a member of Clarksburg Church of Christ. Preceded in death by his mother Yevonne McCaslin; son Randal Kirk Carter and sister Celena Stanford.

He is survived by his father William Edward Carter of Somerville, Tennessee; three daughters Laura Carter (Van) Smith of Huntingdon, Tennessee, Ashley (Jesse) Cooper of Fort Stewart, Georgia and Paige (Anthony) Walters of Byhalia, Mississippi; two sisters Alisa (Carl) Byars of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Robin (Todd) Buttrey of Yuma, Tennessee; two brothers Mitchell (Melinda) Carter of Huntingdon, Tennessee and William (Mandy) Carter of Collierville, Tennessee; one brother-in-law Charles Stanford of Cedar Grove, Tennessee; nine grandchildren Kaitlyn (Gavin) Baucum, Paxton Weir, Malaya Holbrook, Haylee Holbrook, Lexie Green, Robert High, Abigail High, Rosaleigh Patterson and Vivenne Walters; two great-grandchildren Hayes Baucum and Hadlee Baucum.
