Tommy King, Sr. Obituary

Mr. Tommy Ray King, age 62, of Bruceton, Tennessee gained his angel wings and was called home on March 13, 2019. 

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00PM Saturday, March 23, 2019 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Old Pisgah Cemetery in Bruceton, Tennessee. 

Tommy was born June 27, 1956, one of many children born to James & Ollie Walker.   He was preceded in death by his father, James Walker; sister, Donna Gilbert; and brother, Larry Webb. 

At a young age he professed his love for Christ and was baptized at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church in Hollow Rock, Tennessee, where he remained a member until his death.  Tommy was united in Holy Matrimony to Willie Beatrice Treadway on June 27, 1987.  He was devoted to his family and friends.  Mr. Tommy had a love for antiques and sports.

He leaves to mourn and cherish: his wife, Willie Beatrice King; eight children, Albiro King, Beatrice “DeeDee” King, Tommy King, Jr., Antionette Treadway, LaTanya (Nebiyou) Treadway-Makonnen, Willie (Shelia) Treadway, Lamont (Jennifer) Treadway, & Robert (Melissa) Treadway; mother, Ollie Walker; three brothers, Bruce (Margo) King, Dennis King, & Darrell Walker; three sisters, Deborah King, Amy Williams, & Rita Walker; twenty-two grandchildren; and a host of nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 11:00AM until time of service at 1:00PM.

Pallbearers include Billy King, Ike Utley, Aaron Aldridge, Martel Woodley, Joshua Williams, & Justin Gilbert.  Honorary Pallbearers include Ted Craig, Floyd Owens, Billy Owens, Jerry Owens, Thomas Wynn, Anthony Johnson, Tim Townes, & Rodney Hampton.  Flowerbearers include Nikita Washum, Sharita Washum, Heather King, Trice Foster, Hannah Walker, Nikki Walker, & Oliva Shaw.
