Mr. William H Smith, 95, of McKenzie, Tennessee passed away Sunday January 25, 2026 at Cherrywood Post Acute.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM Saturday January 31, 2026 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens with Brother Scott Carter officiating.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:30PM until time of services at 2:00PM.

Mr. Smith was born February 13, 1930 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late G. Hulon Smith and Ruth Compton Smith. Preceded in death by his wife Peggy Smith and a sister Dorothy Ellis. He was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Geniece (Larry) Shands; a son David (Sherry) Smith; grandchildren Amy (Jay) Pruett, Crystal (John) Winters, Nathan (Victoria) Smith; great-grandchildren Carson Pruett, Nolan Pruett, Kelsey Pruett, Mila Winters, Kenzie Winters and Beckett Smith; brother Larry (Joyce) Smith and brother-in-law Billy Joe Ellis.
