Mr. William L. “Mr. Billy” Smith, 85, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Friday June 19, 2026 at his residence surrounded by family.
Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday June 21, 2026 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Westport, Tennessee. Brother Mickey Lewis and Brother Bill Douglas officiating.
The family will receive friends on Sunday June 21, 2026 at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until time of services at 2:00 PM.
Billy was born July 7, 1940 to the late W.J. Smith and Edna “Helene” Jackson Smith. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Daryce “Randell” Smith.
Billy is a 1959 graduate of Huntingdon. He served over 40 years at Mixie Fire Department. He worked as a school bus driver for 37 years and has been an avid bowler for 64 years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wilma Floyd Smith of Huntingdon, Tennessee; two daughters, Cynthia-Denise (Tony) Taylor of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Deion Smith of Nashville, Tennessee; one son, Lin (Lisa) Smith of Huntingdon, Tennessee; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; seven bonus god-children.
Honoring him as pallbearers will be Clent Taylor, Curt Taylor, Blake Bourne, Cody Bourne, Andrew Taylor and Aiden Smith.
Honoring him as honorary pallbearers will be Natalie Taylor, Owen Taylor, Casen Taylor, Skylynn Williams, Odyssey Williams, Emmitt Williams, Vallie Williams, Malik Williams, Blake Williams, Jada Williams, Rowan Bourne, Savannah Williams, Drew Smith and Emery Flowers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Concord Cemetery Fund C/O Dennis Stokes 850 Hawkins Creek Road, Huntingdon, Tennessee 38344.
