Windell G McCartney

Mr. Windell G. McCartney, 86, of Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Cherrywood Post-Acute in McKenzie.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, May 2, 2025 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery. Brother James Keen and Brother Dennie Abernathy officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 12:00 PM noon until time of service at 2:00 PM.

Mr. McCartney was born November 24, 1938 to the late Clyde McCartney and Cora Lou McCartney of Milan, Tennessee. He is also preceded in death by his wife Brenda Sue (Brandon) McCartney and brother-in-law Paul Woodford.

He is survived by two sons Anthony (Keliea) McCartney of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Kirk McCartney of Greenfield, Tennessee; two sisters Betty Woodford of Chapel Hill, Tennessee and Cindy (Tommy) Milligan of Bradford, Tennessee; three grandchildren Aiden McCartney, Haleigh McCartney Stefanakos and Colin Laman and three great-grandchildren.
